Running With Purpose: A Reflection on Hearned It: Run
Participants were able to choose their pace, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and supported, whether they were beginners taking their first steps towards fitness or experienced runners seeking to challenge themselves. The route, inspired by Coach Hearn's own runs, took participants on a scenic night run around the National Mall, with the Capitol and Washington Monument providing a stunning backdrop.
As the run concluded, participants gathered to fellowship and celebrate Coach Hearn's birthday with custom Coach Hearn birthday cake and cookies. We joined the Hearn family in singing a selection of Happy Birthday songs, reflecting on his impact and dancing the night away. It was a beautiful occasion filled with laughter, shared memories, and a sense of gratitude for the legacy that Coach Hearn created.
