Never Remain The Same: A Reflection on Hearned It: Train

A day where 39 of us came together for something truly special—the very first Hearned It event. We weren't just showing up for a workout; we were showing up for each other, for Coach Hearn's legacy, and for ourselves. This day was truly special. 

This 75 minute session co-led by the dynamic duo Mona and Davon as Team Hearn Coaches, introduced us into Coach Hearn's world of “training insane or remaining the same”. From first timers to professional athletes, we all were there to push ourselves and encourage each other to reach new heights. Speaking of new heights, the training session was set in the iconic East Hall of Union Station. Dripping in elegance, we trained on the gorgeous marble floors. 

The experience was about the vibes

The connections, and the shared sense of purpose. As we worked out with his signature exercises, we could almost feel Coach Hearn rooting for us, urging us to keep going, keep pushing, keep believing.

The vibes were spun by @DJtwo1five by a playlist curated by a few of Coach Hearns’ closest friends.  

Foam Rolling is a form of self-myofascial release, which basically means giving your muscles a deep tissue massage to release tension and increase blood flow. 

Here are 5 reasons why foam rolling should be in your recovery toolbox

Foam rolling helps flush out metabolic waste products from your muscles, reducing inflammation and speeding up the recovery process.

By maintaining optimal muscle health and flexibility, foam rolling can help prevent injuries caused by overuse or poor biomechanics. Think of it as a preventative measure against those random aches and pains that can derail your fitness progress.
