Radiance Basden

Wellness Expert and Founder
I’m Radiance Basden, a Wellness Expert, Hall of Fame Runner, and the founder of Rooted in Radiance in Washington, DC. My approach to wellness combines breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga to help individuals and teams relieve stress, improve well-being, and reach their highest potential. My goal is to create meaningful wellness experiences that support both personal and professional growth, fostering balance and peak performance.
My journey into wellness began in 2021, when I took a transformative 12-week sabbatical through Costa Rica, Ghana, Zanzibar, Dubai, and Ethiopia. Faced with burnout and systemic challenges, I found healing in my ancestral roots and through the practice of radical rest. This experience deepened my commitment to redefining wellness by integrating cultural awareness and collective healing, inspiring others to embrace restorative practices for lasting renewal.
Today, I focus on helping organizations and individuals reduce stress, build mental resilience, and integrate restorative wellness practices into their daily lives. Through workshops, retreats, and speaking engagements, I share practical tools for cultivating inner peace and sustainable performance. With over 20 years of experience as a Division I athlete and a deep understanding of movement and mindfulness, I work to guide others in overcoming burnout, restoring energy, and strengthening mental resilience.
