flexibiliTEA Tasting Workshop For Black Female Founders: Event Recap

herbal tea tasting and chair yoga

Rooted in Radiance, alongside Ebony Payne, Founder of District Herbs, celebrated Black History Month with gentle movement, meditation, and an herbal tea presentation featuring a blend of teas for Black Female Founders

FlexibiliTEA Tasting Workshop For Black Female Founders was held at lululemon Georgetown to celebrate Black History Month with gentle movement, meditation, and an herbal tea presentation featuring a blend of teas for Black Female Founders.

The goal of the workshop was to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating experience that combined the health benefits of herbal teas and yoga.

The workshop was designed to provide a holistic experience that combined the physical and mental benefits of chair yoga with the relaxation and health benefits of herbal teas. There were a variety of teas with different flavors and health benefits, and also educational materials about each tea's properties and brewing instructions.

Programming began with a meditative full body scan and breath work to prepare the Founders for their day. After the meditation, Ebony, founder of District Herbs, showcased a herbal presentation featuring a blend of teas. As the Founders enjoyed the tea, Ebony highlighted the benefits of herbal tea and how the Founders can infuse it into their overall well-being. After the tasting, the group was led through a chair yoga sequence featuring affirmations and highlighting how each Founder can implement seated movement into their busy workday.

The workshop finished with a mindful reflection and open discussion with the like-minded women about best practices of staying well and flexible while running a business.

Many participants expressed interest in incorporating both herbal teas and yoga into their daily routines. They also appreciated the modified yoga practice that was accessible to all levels and abilities.
